Cedarwoods Supportive Housing
This project was the new construction of a 61,911 SF supportive housing facility with a total of 60 one-bedroom units. The building is comprised of three wings with the main entrance and common spaces in one area and residential units in the other two wings. Office, support, and community spaces are all located on the first floor near the entrance. Nine of the units are ADA accessible, and the remaining fifty-one units are ADA adaptable.
The building is composed of panelized, wood-framed construction with exterior finishes including hardiplank siding, 30-year architectural shingle roof, high efficiency windows and doors. The building is connected to public utilities, including natural gas and has a unique heating for common-area spaces provided by air recycled through energy recovery units.
LaRosa Building Group was awarded a CT-ABC Excellence in Construction Award from the Associated Builders & Contractors of Connecticut for the Cedarwoods Supportive Housing project.
