HISTORIC REHABILITATION
Special care and expertise must be applied to the rehabilitation of historic structures when encountering antiquated and potentially hazardous building materials and bringing the structure up to current building standards without compromising its integrity. LaRosa has successfully completed projects where either the building was listed on State and/or National Historic Registers, or the project was within a historic district.

Charter Oak Health Center
Hartford, CT
LaRosa Building Group, LLC completed a renovation of a 1 story structure located within the Parkville School at 1755 Park Street in Hartford for Charter Oak Health Center. The space was the former daycare center and is immediately adjacent to the school building.
Charter Oak Health Center now utilizes the building as a neighborhood health care facility. The space is approximately 1,265 gross square feet in size. The project included the demolition of existing interior partitions, ceilings, doors, frames and windows. The design included a reception area, exam rooms, a staff work room, utility rooms, a kitchenette and two accessible bathrooms. The project consisted of new windows and entry doors, interior doors, frames and hardware, new ceilings and finishes.
