HISTORIC REHABILITATION
Special care and expertise must be applied to the rehabilitation of historic structures when encountering antiquated and potentially hazardous building materials and bringing the structure up to current building standards without compromising its integrity. LaRosa has successfully completed projects where either the building was listed on State and/or National Historic Registers, or the project was within a historic district.

Charter Oak Health Center
Hartford, CT
LaRosa Building Group transformed a former daycare facility located on the Parkville School campus into a modern healthcare center for Charter Oak Health Center. This 1,265-square-foot renovation converted an underutilized building into a welcoming, functional neighborhood medical facility designed to support patient care and staff efficiency.
The project included extensive interior demolition and reconfiguration to create a reception area, exam rooms, staff workspaces, utility rooms, a kitchenette, and two ADA-accessible restrooms. The scope also featured the installation of new windows and entry doors, interior doors and hardware, ceilings, and updated finishes throughout.
The completed facility provides Charter Oak Health Center with a modern, accessible environment that enhances healthcare services for the Hartford community.
